Litter League is an environmental organization that aims to build a community of youth that practice and encourage solid waste management in their communities. We are a bunch of high schoolers, passionate about making a difference by promoting eco-friendly practices. The club plays a crucial role in helping to create a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable community for everyone.
Litter League is registered as a member of the Green Forum, co-organized by the World Bank, UNEP and more global organisations, to engage in discussions and events with other environment enthusiasts.
At Litter League, our vision is to expand our base from Hyderabad to various other cities across the country. Each Litter League chapter will aim to address a different problem in solid waste management, thus fostering a culture of environmental responsibility and consciousness among young people.
Our mission is to start these initiatives in other schools across Hyderabad as well. We aim to expand our composting project to 4 other schools and campuses in the city. Furthermore, we aim to empower individuals to take ownership of their environmental impact and become the change needed in their communities
Nidhi Gangumalla is an environment enthusiast and an academically driven individual. As the co-founder of a sustainable business, she is interested in exploring the intersection between business and the environment. Her motto is to learn by doing. She strongly believes that all learning should lead to taking action in the real world. Everyone has learnt from a young age about how to throw waste in dustbins, avoid littering and the various consequences of global warming and climate change. However, she felt that this learning has been unable to take action in the world. The problem of littering still exists despite the awareness trying to be built in people. She has created this club to encourage people to take small actions that could bring together a significant impact.
Litter League achieves another milestone. Honored to be featured on All India Radio for a Women's Day special, discussing our club and upcoming projects.
